New Student Appointments

Prior to attending MVCC, a prospective student must have applied to the college, be accepted to the college, either placement tested/submitted previous college transcripts/high school transcripts, submitted MMR forms, and have their New Student Appointment.

Contents of the New Student Appointment

The New Student Appointment is a mandatory meeting between the student and an MVCC advisor. In these appointments students will learn about the campus, college expectation, differences between academic and college advisors, email, Blackboard, SIRS, DGVs, Student Support Groups, GPA Calculation, Degree Progress, and schedule creation.
