Change of Major

It is important to make sure that students are making the right choice when making a change of major.



Change of Major Process

  • When a student wants to make a change of major they are given a Change of Major Form (see attachment below) and scheduled an appointment.

  • During the appointment, the advisor and student will go over the filled out information on the form. It is important to note that most students often find it difficult to complete the forms on their own, and that this is OK. The goal is to have students accept responsibility for the action of changing their major, and that they realize all of the implications that may arise.

  • __Once the form has been reviewed and the student has agreed and signed the form, log on to OnBase to finalize the change.
